MEET KIM + TIM

Hi. We’re the Passmores. Married for 14 years, and starting a new adventure in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We moved across the country from Boulder CO to Lexington VA in the summer of 2019. We’ve lived in England, Tennessee, and Colorado and are now putting down some roots in Virginia.

Tim finished his PhD at CU Boulder and landed a job as an Assistant Professor of International Studies at the Virginia Military Institute. Kim is currently the Marketing Director for The Seclusion and the Marketing & Outreach Director for Lime Kiln Theater in Lexington.

We bought a 34 acre farm complete with spring-fed creek, swimming pool and the most beautiful sunrises you’ve ever seen. Our critter count includes Islay, the sweetest border collie pup you’ve ever met, two rascal Maine Coons: Atticus Finch and Oscar, 7 chickens, two adorable ducks, and three wether goats: Gilbert, George & Geoffrey. This year’s crop of baby animals includes 6 chicks and three khacki campell ducklings. Oh and did we mention we’re expecting our own sweet baby this summer as well? Bring on the adventures!

We can’t wait to grow our dreams, our family, and our little menagerie in the coming months and years. Thank you for following along on our adventure as we do our best to live a simpler life.

  1. Hi Kim,
I found myself laughing out loud after reading your stink bug massacre 🤣…hilarious! It’s funny I moved from California to Colorado and my not so graceful or pretty moments took place in the winters. More specifically driving in the snow. I experienced not one but two blizzards my first few years living here and I think I cried the first two winter seasons living in Longmont. Time and experience has blessed me with much needed grit, and my snow driving has drastically improved.👍🏼I’m so enjoying your blog…keep the “real” coming. What a beautiful adventure you’re taking on!
    Hugs & Love, Renée
